You will be glad to know that the Goa Tourism Department has floated a tender to appoint private lifeguards on its beaches. The contract has been signed with Drishti Special Response Services Pvt. Ltd., for a five year term and is now on the verge of expiry.
This is what has been informed by Nikhil Desai, Director Tourism, Government of Goa and Managing Director, Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).
As we know that beaches of Goa are amazing in every sense, it is great that the current decision has rolled out keeping the beaches safer for the explorers. This is what makes this place all the more significant and worthwhile.
It has been alleged that beaches of Goa are suffering from all states of disrepair. Measures such as urgent fire-fighting are also undertaken along with this renewal of life saving guards.
With the introduction of private life-guards, the story will change considerably for the Goa tourism. As newcomers would want to render great services, it would certainly be a boom for both, Indian tourism and tourists.
