The focus, in terms of Indian tourism, is sharply shifting towards North Eastern state of India, Arunachal Pradesh, and it has become official now. The highest corridors of assigning laurels to the most revered places of India are turning in favour of Eastern region of India.
Arunachal Pradesh has been chosen as the second runners-up of Lonely Planet magazine. Elevating substantially on the international tourism map, the same has been adjudged as the second runners-up of BBC's travel magazine in the current year itself.
As the place is proudly recognized as the ‘Last Shangri La on Earth’, it has been proudly labeled by a competent agency as one of the fast 'Emerging Destinations in India' category.
With Gujarat reigning supreme, Jammu and Kashmir was rendered first runners-up. Out of 42 main categories, it was onto the worldwide readers to judge. You will be surprised to know that India is truly unique and Arunachal Pradesh unique culture, art and music, cuisines, has able to turn the cynosure of all eyes.
The participants numbered nearly 100, termed as international delegates, representing their respective countries as they belonged to SAARC and in total there are 10 ASEAN countries.
